Service Description

Finding the story in the music is a way for drag artists to think outside the box when choosing songs to perform to. In this class, Messy Margaret will teach you how to better connect to your song choices through storytelling and emotional connectivity and by building a concept to play within. We would begin with an easy relaxation and focus warm up to help ease nerves and to better open our minds to conceptual work. Messy Margaret will then present two songs to the group: one ballad and one uptempo. We would listen to both songs in effort to find our connections to the music through a few exercises. Then each student would have the opportunity to present a performance of either song based on their connection. Once students are registered they will be informed of the songs so that they can memorize the lyrics.
